A recent article in the American Journal of Gastroenterology found a link between the use of Isotretinoin (the generic form of Accutane) and Ulcerative Colitis.

Ulcerative Colitis is a serious condition marked by the appearance of ulcers or open sores in the large intestine or colon. 

Accutane lawyers around the country are investigating claims that the acne drug causes Inflammatory Bowel Disease ("IBD").

IBD includes Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Other less-common forms of IBD include Collageneous Colitis, Lymphocytic Colitis, Ischaemic Colitis, Diversion Colitis, Behcet's Syndrome and Indeterminate Colitis
