Numerous defective drug law firms are running television ads informing people about the possible connections between SSRI antidepressant drug use and heart defects in babies including atrial septal defects (ASD) and ventricular septal defects (VSD).
SSRIs are known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and include such popular antidepressant drugs as zoloft, prozac, celexa, paxil, sarafem and lexapro.
It is explained in the television commercials that there are possible connections between use of the SSRIs by pregnant women and resulting heart defects in their babies.
