Lawyers for BP filed a civil lawsuit against the company that manufactured the blowout preventer claiming it was the cause of the disaster last year.  No doubt they will be seeking damages for the fines and cleanup in addition to using the suit to avoid paying wrongful death damages to the families of the 11 dead men.
