Craniosynostosis lawsuits are being filed by lawyers claiming that the serious birth defects are caused by use of the antidepressant Zoloft by the baby's mother while pregnant.
Zoloft and other SSRI antidepressants such as Celexa, Lexapro, Prozac, Sarafem and Paxil are suspected of causing various birth defects. In addition to Craniosynostosis, Zoloft and the others have been shown to cause baby heart birth defects. These heart defects may include atrial septal defects, ventricular septal defects, tetralogy of fallot, hypoplastic left heart syndrome, transposition of the great arteries (TGA or TOGA), patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), total anomalous pulmonary venous return (TAPVR), double outlet right ventricle (DORV), and coarctation of the aorta (CoA).
If you used ANY antidepressant while pregnant and your baby was born with ANY birth defect, you should contact a board certified defective drug lawsuit lawyer as soon as possible.
